The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives as home decor. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, which enabled inexpensive mass production of prints, was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress started its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections emphasizing the complexity of American cultural heritage.

These reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks and are intended to last a lifetime and be passed down through generations.
