No rating yet(0 ratings)Snapshots of the Past offers this Black Wall Art reproduction, size L, of Making tortillas, Salvador, C.A., as a 16" x 20" historic print. Its reproductions of maps, photographs and prints draw on Library of Congress archives and use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.
The company was founded in 2001 and says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers; it was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass-produced prints.
The Library's American Memory pilot began in 1989 and laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history. The company's catalog also includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display or gifts. SKU sku-13238116356; UPC 465789260425.
