Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass-produced poster prints possible. A Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995. That program digitizes selected Library collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. The range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters, early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, and other retro-style prints for homes, studies, workplaces or gifts.
