The company, founded in 2001, restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives on fine-art and archival paper using pigmented inks.

It was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality reproduction prints; its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989, laying the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural history. Archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to keep the prints suitable for display and passing down.

The company's range also includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for homes, studies, workplaces or gifts.
