Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13635208527

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print is size L and Black, with a listed print size of 16 x 20. It reproduces an archival image from the Library of Congress. Snapshots of the Past was founded in 2001 and was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, a technique that made inexpensive mass-produced prints possible, was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural history. These reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The company's range includes historical maps, photos and prints, such as holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. SKU: sku-13635208527. UPC: 463774442023.
