Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L Print sku-13268119413

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, size L and color Black, sku-13268119413, UPC 468793511644, is a 16" x 20" reproduction print of Louise Brooks in a three-quarter-length portrait. She faces slightly left and holds telephones, with other models on the table before her.

The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor and uses archival paper and pigmented inks for its reproductions. It says these materials can last a lifetime and be passed down through generations. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its stated customers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of internet buyers; it was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796 and enabled inexpensive mass production of poster prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The company also offers old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters, early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, and retro-style prints for display or gifts.
