Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, SKU sku-13243601281, UPC 463173965482, is a Black, size L historic print measuring 16 x 20 inches. The image depicts Libeus Libe" Washburn, Richard William "Rube" Marquard and Mike Donlin of the New York Giants baseball team examining a baseball in Hall, N.Y.

The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives as reproductions on archival paper with pigmented inks, made to last for generations. Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history. The company's range also includes retro holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.
