The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives as home decor reproductions. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers.
It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of posters. The company's prints use fine-art and archival paper; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last for generations. Suggested display subjects include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The prints are also suggested for homes, studies, workplaces and gifts. SKU: sku-13235050342.
