Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art L sku-13262923132

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L, depicts a site plan of the Lambie Beach development (Lamolithic houses) in Siesta Key, Florida. The historic print measures 16" x 20". SKU: sku-13262923132; UPC: 468754930477. Founded in 2001, the company says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of poster prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The company restores reproductions of archival maps, photos and prints.

It uses fine-art and archival papers, and says prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks can last a lifetime and be passed down through generations. Its range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters, early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, and retro-style posters for homes, studies and workplaces or as gifts.
