The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography was invented in 1796 and helped make inexpensive, mass-produced poster prints possible. In 1989, the Library of Congress began the American Memory pilot project, which laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program launched in 1995. That program digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history.

The company's reproduction prints use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. Its other subjects include holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. SKU: sku-13254374745. UPC: 464684643395.
