Snapshots of the Past Black L Print | sku-13223773916

This Snapshots of the Past historic print is titled “JAFFA, M.E., PROFESSOR” and measures 16" x 20". It is listed as Black, size L, under Decorative Pillows & Throws. The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using fine-art and archival paper; archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography, developed in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The company's range includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, offered for display or as gifts. SKU: sku-13223773916. UPC: 462724273717.
