This 16" x 20" historic print depicts J.M. Herrera Irigoyen in a caricature with a head facing left and a photo on a drawing of a man holding a ring of keys and a lantern on a pole. Snapshots of the Past makes reproductions of archival maps, photos and prints, including Library of Congress images, using archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, the company says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography was invented in 1796; the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989, and the National Digital Library Program began in 1995 to digitize selected collections about American cultural heritage. The company also offers reproductions of holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for home or workplace display and as gifts.
