Snapshots of the Past Black L Wall Art sku-13209472943

Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art in size L, sku-13209472943, UPC 467887962416, is a 16" x 20" historic print titled "J.M. Frank, Pres. of LLG. Correct Electrical Ve[...] Co., Chicago." The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography was invented in 1796 and helped make inexpensive, mass-produced prints possible. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The company also offers retro posters, including holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, for display or as gifts.
