This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print shows the interior of the USS Akron with part of its covering left off for viewing at the airship's christening. The 16 x 20 print is listed in Black, size L, under SKU sku-13261255548 and UPC 463083731269. The company restores reproductions from Library of Congress archives, including historical maps, photos and prints.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced posters inexpensive. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural heritage.

The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper; archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to let prints last for generations. The collection also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The retro-style prints can be displayed at home or work or given as gifts.
