The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives using archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer these images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers.

It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. The company's background notes that lithography was invented in 1796 and that the Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot in 1989. That pilot laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural heritage.

Its range includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, for display at home or work or as gifts.
