Founded in 2001, the company restores Library of Congress maps, photos and prints and says it was the first to offer the library's images as fine-art reproductions.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography was invented in 1796. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989, laying the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural heritage.

The prints use archival paper and pigmented inks.
