Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art, size L, SKU sku-13242818677, UPC 468451618210, is a 16" x 20" reproduction print titled “High school art students using model.” The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers; it was chosen as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography was invented in 1796 and enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989, laying the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural history. These prints use archival paper and pigmented inks and are intended to last for generations.

The range also includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display or gifts.
