Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L, SKU sku-13286202742, UPC 463643528827. This 16 x 20 historic print shows the headquarters of Gen. Villa at Juarez during the Mexican revolution of 1914. The company reproduces maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography was invented in 1796 and helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural history. The reproductions use fine-art and archival papers.

Prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks can last a lifetime and be passed down through generations. The collection includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts.
