This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print depicts HASKELL, EARL S. It measures 16 x 20 inches and is listed as Black, size L, under sku-13208716294 and UPC 467221886484. The company makes reproductions of historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass-produced prints possible. A Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural history.

The company's reproductions can be displayed at home or at work or given as gifts; its range includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.
