The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks for its reproductions.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers; it was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural heritage. The company also offers historical posters, including holiday designs and early aerial views of major cities, for display or as gifts. SKU: sku-13277203160.
