Snapshots of the Past Historic Wall Art L sku-13626700991

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, SKU sku-13626700991 and UPC 462701629384, is a Black historic print listed in size L. The 16" x 20" image shows Arthur B. Heaton's front elevation and plan for a Blue Bell System, Inc., hamburger restaurant at 1011 D Street, N.W., near Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.

The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives on archival paper with pigmented inks. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers.

It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008. The listing also discusses lithography, invented in 1796, and the Library of Congress American Memory pilot begun in 1989, which laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program that began in 1995. That program digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history.

Other prints in the range include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco; they are offered for display or as gifts.
