The company makes restored reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, a technique that enabled inexpensive mass production of posters, was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The company's other reproductions include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. Its retro-style prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts.
