Snapshots of the Past L Historic Wall Art sku-13232921002

Snapshots of the Past offers this Black, size L Wall Art print of General R.S. Fosters headquarters at 16" x 20". The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from the Library of Congress archives, using fine-art and archival paper with pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible. The Library of Congress American Memory pilot began in 1989 and laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural heritage.

The range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters, plus early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, for display at home or work or as gifts. UPC: 467699444247. SKU: sku-13232921002.
