The 16 x 20 print is titled “Gênes Vue prise au dessus de la lanterne,” drawn by Guesdon and lithographed by Schultz. The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproductions, has supplied over 200 bookstores and other retailers as well as tens of thousands of internet customers, and was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; the National Digital Library Program followed in 1995 to digitize selected collections. The seller also suggests historical posters as gifts or decor, including holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.
