The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using fine art and archival paper; its archival-paper prints use pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced posters possible. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history.

The company's range also includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. SKU sku-13276154318; UPC 463003314244.
