Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13276602296

This Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art print, size L, reproduces the historical image 'Frances Wright d'Arusmont.SW.' at 16" x 20". The company restores maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass-produced posters possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. These reproduction prints use fine-art and archival paper and pigmented inks designed to last for generations.

The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts. SKU sku-13276602296; UPC 462159034938.
