Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, size L, color Black, sku-13261360334, UPC 461685712075. This historic reproduction print depicts Fort Myer Officers Training Camp, with Charles P. Taft at camp with his father, former President Taft. It measures 16" x 20". The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives for use as home decor.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive.

A 1989 Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history. The reproductions use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts.
