Snapshots of the Past FL Wall Art L sku-13312150784

Snapshots of the Past reproduction photo print shows a street scene in St. Petersburg, FL, from 1913. The Black Wall Art print is size L, with a width of 7 inches and length of 36 inches. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796, making inexpensive mass production of prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; the National Digital Library Program began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural history. The reproductions use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. The range also includes older holiday posters and aerial city views for display at home or work or as gifts.
