The company restores historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives as home decor. Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers.

It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. The prints use archival paper and pigmented inks and are intended to last for generations. Lithography was invented in 1796 and helped make inexpensive mass-produced posters possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural history.

The company's collection also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. Its retro-style prints are offered for homes, studies, workplaces and gifts.
