Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art L sku-13303755372

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, size L and color Black, is a 16" x 20" reproduction of “Federal group - Century of progress” by W.L. Stensgaard & Associates, Inc. It is listed under sku-13303755372 and UPC 469017041688. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives and produces reproductions using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796 and enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural history. The company's retro-style reproductions include holiday posters and early aerial views of cities, for display at home or at work or to give as gifts.
