Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13209122016

Snapshots of the Past lists this Black, size L Wall Art print of Farragut's flagship Hartford as sku-13209122016, UPC 467695298073. The print measures 16" x 20". The company restores historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives and makes reproductions with archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography was invented in 1796; the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989, laying the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural heritage. The listing says archival materials can allow prints to last a lifetime and be passed down.

It also suggests historical posters and early aerial city views as decor or gifts.
