Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L Print sku-13262971194

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art is a Black, size L reproduction print measuring 16 x 20 inches. It shows F.D. Roosevelt at the helm of the Ship of State, with Eleanor Roosevelt beside him and ships and planes in the background. The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography was invented in 1796 and helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural heritage.

The prints use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. The range includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work, or as gifts. SKU: sku-13262971194; UPC: 462826106289.
