Snapshots of the Past L Historic Wall Art sku-13465070619

Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art in size L, sku-13465070619, UPC 463517241258, is an 18 x 24 inch Ethel Conrad historical print. The company produces reproductions of maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints less expensive.

The Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections about American cultural history.
