Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L sku-13256256343 Print

This 16 x 20-inch Snapshots of the Past reproduction print shows the Enka Square Dance Team, champions at the Mountain Music Festival in Asheville, North Carolina. It is Black Wall Art in size L, printed with pigmented inks on archival paper from an image restored from the Library of Congress archives.

Snapshots of the Past was founded in 2001 and says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of online customers; it was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project.

Lithography was invented in 1796, enabling inexpensive mass production of prints. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The company also offers historical maps, photos and posters, including holiday designs and early aerial city views, as decor or gifts. Archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to keep the prints usable for generations. SKU sku-13256256343; UPC 463233907568.
