Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13299720883

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L, sku-13299720883, UPC 466505879648, is a 16" x 20" reproduction print of Edna St. Vincent Millay seated behind an NBC microphone reciting her poetry. The title credits Ray Lee Jackson and NBC Studio. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives for display at home or work.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers; it was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796 and made inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

In 1989, the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project, which laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program launched in 1995. That program digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history. The reproduction uses archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The range also includes vintage posters and early aerial city views, offered for display or as gifts.
