Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13303755893

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, size L, is a Black 16" x 20" historic print (sku-13303755893; UPC 465297096608). Its title names E.O. Watson, Bishop Wm. Frasier McDonell, Bishop Eugene, Russell Hendrix and Rev. Jm. Hende.

The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives as reproductions on archival paper with pigmented inks; the prints are described as lasting a lifetime and being suitable to pass down. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproductions.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, plus tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass-produced posters.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The company also suggests retro posters, including holiday designs and early aerial views of cities, for display at home or work or as gifts.
