Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L Print sku-13208616108

This Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art print, size L, reproduces a historic Draft World War draft board image at 16 x 20 inches. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. The prints use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The collection also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, for display at home, in a study or at work, or as gifts. Lithography was invented in 1796 and helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

In 1989, the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project, which laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program launched in 1995 to digitize selected collections documenting American cultural heritage. SKU: sku-13208616108. UPC: 462042048585.
