Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13248703323

Snapshots of the Past offers a historic DRAFT PARADE WILSON print measuring 16 x 20 inches, listed as Black Wall Art in size L. Its reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints are restored from Library of Congress archives and made with fine art archival paper and pigmented inks. The listing says prints made with these materials can last a lifetime and be passed down through generations.

Founded in 2001, the company says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, plus tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

The listing traces inexpensive mass-produced poster prints to techniques including lithography, invented in 1796. It also notes that the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989, laying the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural history.

Other suggested subjects include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The prints are offered as gifts or decor for a home, study or workplace. SKU sku-13248703323; UPC 466501633657.
