Snapshots of the Past Historic L Wall Art sku-13288458678

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art is a Black, size L reproduction print of a 16" x 20" three-quarter-length portrait of Dr. Valérie André standing in front of her helicopter in Tonkin, Vietnam. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its customers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history. The reproductions use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The range also includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, offered for display at home or work or as gifts. SKU: sku-13288458678. UPC: 469892023281.
