Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L | sku-13260960190

This Black, size L Wall Art print from Snapshots of the Past depicts Cyrus McCormick, Miss P. Dowdall and Marcella Andrews. It measures 16 by 20 inches. The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its customers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online buyers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of prints possible. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The company's range also includes vintage holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display or gifting. UPC: 463566990916. SKU: sku-13260960190.
