Snapshots of the Past Noble House Wall Art L sku-13292956322

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art listing, sku-13292956322 and UPC 469439590856, is a Black, size L historic print of Colonel Noble House in French Camp, San Joaquin County, CA. It measures 16" x 20". The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of poster prints. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper, with pigmented inks intended to last for generations. Other prints include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The company suggests retro-style posters for homes, studies and workplaces, or as gifts.
