This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print shows a check-signing machine in the Treasury Department operated by J.L. Summers. It measures 16" x 20" and is listed as Black, size L, SKU sku-13257270171, UPC 462433088138. The company makes reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it describes itself as the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass-produced prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history. The company's reproductions also include holiday posters and early aerial views of cities, offered as decor or gifts.
