Snapshots of the Past historic print, size L and color Black, is listed under Decorative Pillows & Throws as sku-13261055192; UPC 468777966484. The title identifies the subject as the Ottawa Library, part of Canada's Parliament Buildings group, in a 16" x 20" print. The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, which enabled inexpensive mass production of prints, was invented in 1796. A Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural history.

The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last for generations. The range also includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts.
