Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art L sku-13227317193

Snapshots of the Past sku-13227317193 is Black Wall Art in size L, UPC 464683300183. This 16" x 20" historic print shows a bottle of Royal Salad Dressing made for Horton-Cato Mfg. Co. The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproductions.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural heritage. The reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks, intended to last for generations.

The collection also includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display or gifts.
