Federal Writers' Project book : American guide series.”

The brand restores reproductions of historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its customers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online buyers.

It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of prints possible. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections documenting American cultural history.

The brand uses fine-art and archival papers. Prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks can last for generations. Its range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters, early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, and retro-style prints for homes, studies or workplaces.
