Snapshots of the Past L Wall Art sku-13287853021 Print

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, sku-13287853021, is a Black, size L reproduction of a bird's-eye view of St. Petersburg, credited to Estes & Lauriat, Boston. The print measures 16" x 20"; UPC 467834854245. The company, founded in 2001, reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives on fine-art archival paper with pigmented inks.

It was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796, making inexpensive mass production of poster prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. Prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks can last a lifetime and be passed down.

The range also includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home, in a study or at work, or as gifts.
