Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L Print sku-13257962367

Snapshots of the Past offers this 16 x 20 historic print of Bethel Church, Virginia, shown as the temporary headquarters of Gen. Ambrose E. Burn. It is listed as Black Wall Art in size L, SKU sku-13257962367, UPC 462355850318. The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives on fine-art archival paper with pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers; it was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, which enabled inexpensive mass-produced prints, was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, begun in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The archival prints are intended to last for generations.

The range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, offered for display at home or work or as gifts.
