Snapshots of the Past L Wall Art sku-13636913680 Print

This Black, size L Wall Art print from Snapshots of the Past shows three members of the Labor Non-partisan League before the opening gong at its Washington, D.C., convention on March 8. The print measures 16" x 20". Snapshots of the Past makes reproductions of historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, the company says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography was invented in 1796 and helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history.

The range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. These retro prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts. SKU: sku-13636913680. UPC: 463290185404.
