Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible. In 1989, the Library of Congress began the American Memory pilot project, which laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program launched in 1995. That program digitizes selected collections focused on the complexity of American cultural heritage.

These reproductions use fine-art and archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. The range also includes vintage holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home, in a study or at work, or as gifts.
