Snapshots of the Past Historic Wall Art L sku-13461853477

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L, sku-13461853477 and UPC 463689859688, is a historic print titled Attendants at Old Slave Day, Southern Pines, measuring 18 x 24 inches. The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives on fine art and archival paper, using pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

A 1989 Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history. The company says its archival prints can last a lifetime and be passed down through generations.
